About the event

FREE, ALL AGES, 20th Anniversary screening of the legendary documentary AFRO-PUNK, with special guest, director James Spooner!

After the film, there will be a community discussion and Q&A led by SUNY Broome Nursing Program graduate and Binghamton’s own Jessica Steele (LadyFest, Femmefest)!

James Spooner will also talk about his recent graphic memoir, High Desert: Black. Punk. Nowhere. and will sign books after! Come hang out!

This will also be a collection event for the Binghamton DIY Punk Archive, so if you’d like to share your Bing punk memorabilia (shirts, flyers, vinyl, pictures) with the community bring it along! The Archive will scan it on-site and give it right back, but the legacy will live on our website for the community to remember.
